I got frontpaged two times in a row with my Pixel day cartoon Platformer Pests.

It was shocking, and I was giddy, but it’s super fleeting, if anybody asked you what Platformer Pests is to this day they wouldn’t even be able to give you an answer. Front paged stuff usually gets taken down pretty fast.

I deleted my account. And started all over because all of the burn out literally broke me.
I had 230 fans (which isn’t a lot, but was more than enough for me) every time I even said anything that wasn’t cookie cutter vanilla, involved self doubt, or when tried something experimental with my art I lost a fan. And I lost them consecutively.

Now it’s way less pressure now that I’m starting over again from scratch.

Trust me being known sucks.
The more notoriety, the more work you have to do, and the more generic and predictable you have to become.

And even though I exceeded my goal of 100 fans back then I still felt empty, unsatisfied, and lonely as I do now.
